Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) is a Hungarian designer and architect known for being at the origin of the first revolution of the design furniture of the twentieth century thanks to the creation of the armchair "Wassily" in the 1920s, named in tribute to his friend Wassily Kandinsky. He belonged to the Bauhaus school, where he produced his greatest works, which illustrate the desire to privilege the function of the object rather than its aesthetics. He is recognized as one of the most famous designers of the 20th century.
