Regency style cartel in Boulle marquetry in the first part, with a red tortoiseshell background. Case of architectural form, resting on a base with four feet in the shape of a flattened ball with chased motifs. On each side, a glass revealing the mechanism of the clock decorates the case and is decorated with a frieze of water leaves in chased and gilded bronze. Other gilded bronze motifs such as flowers, beaded acanthus leaves, mascaron, lambrequins, garland, music trophies, adorn the rest of the case.
At the front, a gilded bronze chariot of Apollo drawn by two horses takes place under the dial.
Above the dial, the top of the case is decorated with four fire pots.
