Lucien Génin was first a student at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen, then in 1919 Lucien Génin was admitted to the School of Decorative Arts in Paris. In 1932 Lucien Génin received a prize from the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1960 a personal exhibition of his works was organized in Paris. Lucien Génin painted in oil and gouache. Lucien Génin received a very complete training, but developed a personal technique all in spontaneity with an innocent glance on the simple things of the life. Lucien Génin painted mainly in Paris, but some views of Rouen, Lorient, Dinan, Marseilles or Villefranche-sur-mer are worth noting. Lucien Génin has completely specialized in the highly demanded theme of views of Paris. Lucien Génin painted with extremely quick and easy paint strokes, which explains a very abundant production
