    Description

    A vermeil ciborium richly decorated with the eucharistic symbols  : grapevine and corn that represent the blood and the body. Its circular base is decorated with the medallions representing Christ, Virgin, saint Joseph and the instruments of the Passion. 

    The etymology of the word ciborium designate the water lily flower. This is the shape of the sacred cup destined to receive the Body of Christ in order to be given to the faithful during the Mass.
