    1st Empire period gilt carved wood barometer surmounted by an imperial eagle on the globe surrounded by an oak leaves wreath and two flags.

    The "ingénieur" Chevallier was the optician of the king of Westphalia, brother of Napoléon I. Jérôme Bonaparte (1784 - 1860), French prince and Imperial Highness. He became the king Jérôme Napoléon, French prince, king of Westphalia from 1807 to 1813.
