spiral staircase in stone from the 16th century
originally from a medieval house in the Nièvre which was demolished in the early 80's because it was in ruins and was becoming dangerous for the town in which it was located, as were many other houses in France at that time.
It was then recovered and reassembled in an abbey which preserved it until today.
For reasons of change of destination of the rooms in which it was, it was dismounted again and seeks a new destination in a beautiful residence ....
The safeguarding of the patrimony is also done by recovering elements that are not lost in this way...
It is in perfect condition considering its great age and especially since it has always been used
It is composed of 15 Burgundy stone steps of 17 cm high and 80 cm to 115 cm long.
