In the magical setting of the capital covered in a white coat, Léon Voirin gives us a charming scene full of life, as if captured at the time.

A sleigh carrying an elegant woman occupies the center of the painting. Well wrapped up and protected by fur, the Parisian, whose red veiled hat echoes the color of the sleigh, is in deep discussion with the coachman. Lots of entertainment despite the cold, couples, families, carriages, a little girl with her dog, a horseman from the Republican Guard are walking around. In the background, we can see the snow-covered Arc de Triomphe. A lifted and impressionistic touch to treat the landscape alternates with a more licked and fine touch for the characters, like the detail of the elegant outfits.
