Original oil on canvas with its period frame signed lower right and located in Rome Italy.
This painter of German origin often painted sarcastic scenes of his time in the manner of the painter Chocarne Moreau, to whom he was close and contemporary. He painted many portraits, genre scenes and history. He was raised by Fürich and a self-portrait of him is exhibited at the PITTI palace in Florence and another portrait of John Gribson is kept at the Academy of ST LUC in Rome.
