"L. XVI pendulum, signed ARSANDAUX, the life of the streets of Paris"
Louis XVI terminal pendulum in white marble and gilded bronze with mercury.
It is adorned with five delightful gouaches representing the life of the streets of Paris at the end of the 18th century.
Two consoles surround the movement inscribed in the terminal, itself surmounted by a garland of flowers.
Row of beadwork and six baluster feet.
Ringtones at the o'clock and half-o'clock.
The dial is signed: ARSANDAUX in PARIS
Rue Montorgueil, 1781-1783.
The plate bears in hollow the name of the watchmaker: PLANCHON in Paris
(it is established Galerie Montpensier at the Royal Palace in 1890.)
