The painting testifies to a great modernity in the framing of the model in low angle and in the sculptural touch. From this naked, twisted body emerges a lot of sensuality. A camaieu of colors, gray, white, blue and flesh brings softness and refinement.
This is the figurative period of the painter. Clément Serveau began his career in 1905 at the Salon des Indépendants and then at the Salon d'Automne and the Tuileries. He has also exhibited in many foreign countries, London, the United States, Canada, Sweden and the Balkans.
He made large decorations, frescoes, illustrated many books, engravings and banknotes.
