Restoration period, hallmark of Paris 1819-1838.
It opens with a hinge on an openwork grid decorated with floral foliage.
At the time, it contained a small sponge soaked in amoniacal salts, hence its name Vinaigrette. Subsequently, the ladies put perfumes there to escape the bad ambient smells of the streets.
The lid is centered with a three-layer cameo decorated with the profile of a woman in the Antique style. The sides are decorated with arabesques.
