Louis XV Style" Trumeau in gray lacquered wood Trianon, decorated in gilded wood richly molded and carved with shells, inverted palmettes, foliage and flowers. Oil on canvas depicting a gentleman courting his beauty, already under his spell, and admiring the flowers he has just picked for her, the spade still in his hand. Her maid sprinkles flowers on the base, in order to reconstitute the grove. On the side, we can see a stone fountain, water in cascades; Louis XV Style Period XIXth century. This trumeau is in poor condition. It perfectly illustrates the Louis XV period, dear to Watteau, and its famous romantic representations. Ice in very good condition, rare pitting at the bottom.
