Camille Roqueplan is representative of the romantic movement following Flers, Huet, Isabey.
After studying, he exhibited at the Salon in 1922 where he was awarded several times. His works have many similarities with those of Paul Huet, with whom he worked at that time.
He exhibits landscapes, seascapes of Normandy, Brittany, the Pyrenees, the Vosges, Holland. Around 1830, he kept a busy workshop.
Suffering from tuberculosis, he died at the age of 52.
